Soma Talk
Integrate embodied trauma-sensitive therapy into your life and practice…
Go beyond theory:
experience what it’s like to facilitate body-led healing.
You’ve seen it in either yourself or your clients: Traditional therapy approaches, Yoga, and other forms of self-help can be powerful, but they often miss a crucial piece of the puzzle: how trauma is physically stored in the body. You may have read "The Body Keeps the Score" and understand why body-based approaches matter—but how do you actually integrate them into your practice safely and effectively?
That's where Soma Talk comes in.
Soma Talk isn't just another training that leaves you with more questions than answers.
It's a comprehensive 300-hour pathway that equips you with the WHY, the HOW, and most importantly, the INTEGRATION skills needed to become a confident, embodied facilitator who gets results.
Our unique methodology bridges the gap between theory and application, combining interoceptive awareness with therapeutic presence to create lasting transformation for your clients—and significantly reduce your dropout rates in the process.
A complete pathway to embodied facilitation
Soma Talk can be completed as either a 200-hour or 300-hour training.
We encourage learning to be a journey of your own, metabolising and integrating the material at your pace to become a more confident and
embodied space holder.

Why this training is different
The problem with standard trauma training:
High dropout rates: Research shows significantly higher client dropout in traditional Trauma-Focused CBT compared to body-led approaches
Integration challenges: Most therapists report feeling unsure how to safely apply and integrate somatic methods
Theory vs. practice gap: Many trainings provide concepts but leave you wondering how to actually use them with real clients.
The Soma Talk solution…
Created by practitioners for practitioners: Founded by Martine Coates and Grace Tempany, who recognised the lack of integration in both client therapy and clinician training
Proven methodology: Using evidence-based interoceptive practices that have demonstrable effects on neuroplasticity and healing
Practice-based learning: Focused on application, not just theory, with extensive supervised practice components
Trauma-sensitive framework: Everything is taught through a lens of safety and choice-making. This is a very gentle, care-focused approach to healing.

Our story
Born from a shared passion and a recognised gap
When Martine and Grace met at a Yin Yoga Training in Thailand in 2023, they immediately connected over their shared passion for body-based psychotherapy. Both had witnessed firsthand the transformative power of somatic approaches—and both had recognised the same critical gap in the field: a lack of true integration.
"We saw too many practitioners struggling to apply what they'd learned," explains Martine. "They understood the concepts but couldn't confidently bridge the gap between theory and practice. We created Soma Talk to fill that space—to give therapists and yoga teachers not just the 'what' and 'why' of embodied healing, but the practical 'how' that makes all the difference."
Grace adds, "Our vision is to nurture a community of practitioners who work confidently with both mind and body, creating spaces where clients feel truly seen and held. This isn't just about adding techniques to your toolkit—it's about transforming how you show up as a facilitator and how your clients experience healing."
We created Soma Talk to give therapists and yoga teachers not just the 'what' and 'why' of embodied healing, but the practical 'how' that makes all the difference.
